How this site is paid for
Nothing on this site is charged to you. There is no premium tier, no paywall and no account. Every entry, every prompt and every number is free.
Affiliate links
Affiliate links may appear on entries with a KEEP IT or ALMOSTverdict, and never on a YES. The reasoning is simple: on those pages we are telling you to keep paying for the tool, and that is the only honest place for a referral link. On a page where we tell you to leave, taking a commission from the vendor would be a conflict of interest.
This rule is enforced in the code, not just stated here. The loader that publishes an entry refuses any file that carries an affiliate link on a YES verdict.
A referral link never influences a verdict, a score or a ranking. Verdicts change only through an explicit editorial decision, and every change is recorded with its reason on the entry's own page.

Sponsorship
There are ten fixed slots, sold by hand and marked as slots wherever they appear — the terms are published in full. A sponsor can never be a tool on the list, because the moment it could, no verdict here would be worth reading.
Sponsorship never touches a verdict, a score, a ranking, a prompt or an entry's place in it — not for the sponsor and not against a competitor. Nobody can buy a listing, and no payment of any kind changes what an entry says.
What we collect
No third-party analytics, no trackers, no advertising pixels, and no fonts loaded from someone else's CDN. Page views, votes and prompt copies are recorded in our own database and published openly on the stats page.
Your IP address is never stored, and neither is your browser's user agent. Both are inputs to a one-way hash with a secret salt and are discarded once it has run. The hash is what lets the site count visitors without identifying one, and what stops a single person voting a hundred times. How we count sets out the method and Privacy covers the rest.
Where AI is used, and where it is not
This site is about replacing paid tools with software you build using an AI coding agent, so it would be strange not to say plainly where one is used in making it. Every entry is drafted with the help of an AI agent and then read, checked and published by a person.
- The description of what a tool does.
- The "what you lose" list.
- The prompt offered on the entry.
- The prior art and the open-source alternatives named.
- A proposed verdict and score, and the category — proposed only, and never published as they arrive.
- Whether an entry is published at all. Nothing reaches this site automatically; a draft that nobody reads stays a draft.
- The verdict and the score that actually appear. A change to either is refused by the software unless it carries a written reason, and that reason is recorded with its date.
- The price. It is read from the vendor's own pricing page, which is archived, and checked by a person before it is recorded.
- Which tools are covered, and which submissions and enquiries are acted on.
No AI writes to this site by itself, no verdict changes without a person deciding it, and no automated process may publish anything. Where a draft is wrong, the person reviewing it is the one who catches it — and where one gets through, tell us and it is corrected with the correction recorded.
The site's own code, design and wording were also built with an AI coding agent, which is the tool this site is about. Everything published on it was read by a person first.
About the entries
Prices, descriptions and verdicts are based on public information: the vendor's own pricing page and product documentation. Descriptions are written from scratch — no vendor marketing copy is reproduced, and no vendor logos are used. Every entry links to the official site.
