The boring part
What you are buying is placement, bought once: 30 days in one slot, starting when the placement goes live. It is not a subscription and it does not renew itself; when it ends, it ends, and you are welcome to buy it again. A run is never repriced once it has started. The rate itself is reviewed as the audience grows — early sponsors keep theirs for as long as we can hold it, and any change reaches you before a renewal rather than during a run.
Sponsorship never touches a verdict, a score, a ranking or a prompt: not yours, not your competitor's, and the answer to "could you build this yourself" stays whatever it was. A tool that appears on the list cannot buy a slot at all, because the moment it could, no verdict here would be worth reading.
Every placement is approved by hand, so anything we will not run is not charged for. We do not run trackers, so a slot is a link and an image on our own server — there is no pixel, no third-party ad script and no data about our readers passed to you or to anyone else. What you get instead is the impression and click count for your slot, measured the way this site measures everything and drawn from the same rows published on the statistics page.
