STACK
- Astro with a Node adapter, Postgres, Stripe for payments

THE SCHEMA
- One JSON file per form: fields with type, label, validation and an optional condition
- A condition is a small expression over earlier answers, evaluated on both sides
- Never trust the client: revalidate the whole schema on the server

PAGES AND LOGIC
- Multi-page with a progress bar; skipped pages are decided by the same conditions
- Calculated fields recomputed server-side before storing

PAYMENT
- If the schema has a price field, create a Stripe Checkout session after validation
- The response is only marked complete by the Stripe webhook, never by the browser returning

WRITING ONWARD
- One outgoing webhook per form, HMAC-signed, retried with backoff and a dead-letter table
- Field mapping lives in the schema file, so a new destination is configuration
