Linktree

linktr.ee

YES

Replaceable in one session with an AI coding agent.

One page holding every link you want to point people at from a social profile. You add links, pick a theme, and it gives you a short address to put in a bio.

Promptfree, for everyone, and the only version there is
Build me a link-in-bio page I own.

STACK
- Astro in static output on any static host
- No database and no server: the page is generated from one file

THE FILE
- One YAML file: name, tagline, avatar, and a list of links with a label, a URL and an optional emoji or icon
- An optional "live between" pair of dates per link, honoured at build time

THE PAGE
- One column, large tap targets, nothing below the fold on a phone but the footer
- A token file for colour and type so a theme is six values, not a rewrite
- Light and dark from prefers-color-scheme, both legible
- Under 40KB total, no web font unless it is self-hosted and subset

COUNTING, WITHOUT A TRACKER
- Each outbound link goes through /go/:id, a static redirect page that logs to a serverless function and then leaves
- Log the link id, the day and a coarse referrer only — no IP, no user agent, no cookie
- A /stats page reading those counts, public, because there is nothing private in them

FOUND BY SEARCH
- Meta tags and an Open Graph image generated at build time from the same YAML

Include a deploy command and a README on pointing a domain at it.

What you lose

  • A page that is live thirty seconds after signing up, with no domain to buy or DNS to point
  • Themes that look designed, without opening a stylesheet
  • Click counts per link, and a scheduler that shows or hides a link on a date
  • The linktr.ee address itself, which is already printed in bios, videos and business cards

If you would rather not build

  • A single HTML file, which is genuinely enough here
  • Bio.link or Bento, if you would rather not host anything

Why this verdict

our own opinion · changed only by a person

90/100

Verdict yes at 90: this is a list of links. The honest caveat is not the build, it is that the old address is already in circulation and a redirect from it is not something you control.
